**About us**
Harbour Hospice is one of the largest hospices in New Zealand and has been caring for patients and their family/whānau for almost 40 years. Every day we care for close to 400 people across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Warkworth/Wellsford regions, supporting them at home, in one of our two inpatient units, or in community programmes offered at each of our three sites.
Our bespoke services, given free of charge, include nursing, medical, social work, counselling, spiritual, cultural, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pharmacist and complementary therapy support. We offer patient, carer, family support and bereavement programmes. We have a well-established service improvement team, a focus on clinical data sharing, a focus on improved outcomes and an evolving research agenda.
Where possible our people work with a hybrid working model in order to facilitate and maximise our service delivery options.
**What's in it for you?**
Our people are at the heart of our organisation. Caring, courageous, compassionate and driven to deliver the best care possible, our people are the reason Hospice has the reputation that it does.
There is huge scope to this role. New Zealand's health system is reforming and it's a new and evolving landscape. You'll have the opportunity to drive change within a truly holistic service and will influence at local, regional and national level, how palliative care is provided to communities. As second in charge to the Chief Executive, you'll become an operational expert as well as continue your clinical practice.
