Parcel Sorter

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time parcel sorter to join our PM shift in our Parcels division at our Palmerston North branch. You must be available to work the **14.30 to 23.00 shift.**

**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service. Additional key duties below:

- Load and unload all freight safely and securely
- Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
- Setting up of the remeasure machine
- Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
- Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner
- Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product
- Maintain good working relationships
- Assisting on the forklift supporting the operations team after 19.00
- Communicate effectively within a team environment

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight.

Additionally, you will need:

- Prior work experience in the freight industry
- A strong health and safety focus
- OSH approved forklift certificate
- F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential)
- Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential)
- An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)
