An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Development Manager working within the HPI/Poly team at Dicker Data.

The Business Development Manager position covers responsibilities involved with the management of a defined territory. This includes ensuring the budget is achieved, direct management of selected accounts, maintaining quality vendor relationships, and inter-and-intra company collaboration.

You will be a driven, skilled, and talented individual, this is an outbound role with an expectation you will have scheduled meetings and visits every week driving and facilitating business.

**General Responsibilities**
- Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries and provide quotations and/or information as required in a timely fashion
- Attendance at team meetings, sharing information relating to partners, and their opportunities
- Building sales capabilities and supporting partners with solutions to meet customer needs.
- Utilise Poly and Dicker Data programmes and tools to drive sales conversations
- Complete industry and relevant certifications
- Update and detail the DD quoting tool, providing win probability and close months for quotes
- Assist partners in using tools and reporting to build profitable offers and drive strategic opportunities to help Dicker Data revenue grow.

To be successful, you will have/be:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of successful business development within the IT industry
- Sales or Business Development experience, preferably in excess of 5 years
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise work, to meet company and customer expectation
- A problem solver with high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts
- Understanding of administration procedures (e.g. ordering, receipting, invoicing, returns, and payments)
- Detailed knowledge of the relevant market
- A team-player with high levels of initiative and enthusiasm
- Well-developed negotiation skills
