Key duties will include:
1. Potential to Deputises for registered nurse in her absence
- Undertakes activities as directed on the daily work schedules and according to service descriptions and standards;
- Participates in development and maintenance of Care Plans
- Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs
- Observing and reporting changes in patient’s condition to the manager/RN
- To complete medication competency as required by the facility and administer medications as per policy and procedure

2. Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining privacy, dignity and individuality.

B) Complies within Code of Health & Disability Service Consumers Rights
- Dignity, individuality and maintenance of privacy is evident while undertaking activities of daily living
- Rights are understood objectives of the Code are put into everyday practice

3. To safely, efficiently and effectively deliver care by prioritizing attendance to Resident’s needs and delivering the best care possible according to duty schedules, and the Nursing procedure Manual.

This includes requesting assistance in difficult care delivery situations.
