Orchard Supervisor

We are looking for an Orchid Supervisor to join our Horticulture Company at Whangarei. You will be actively working for the Orchard Division to monitor and motivate the team of workers and contractors to ensure the work done on the orchards is carried out efficiently

**Your Job Responsibilities include-**
- Supervision of workers doing husbandry and other orchard tasks as required
- Assist in Harvest Operations as requested by Orchard and Post-Harvest Management
- Ensure weekly timesheets are prepared and signed off prior to required deadlines.
- Ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.
- Planning and ensuring sufficient allocation of Human Resources
- Manage all personnel activities such as training and supervision
- planning when to plant each species, supervising greenhouse workers, harvesting plants
- Report back to Manager on daily output of staff and productivity result

**Minimum 40 hours/per week guranteed**
- Have relevant work experience
- Must be NZ Resident/Citizen
- Knowledge of orchard operations preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic Mechanical knowledge and general machinery operation experience
- Sound knowledge on Employment laws and Health & Safety requirements will be an advantage
- Must have good leadership skills to supervise the staff

**Salary**: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whangarei, Northland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
