We have a fixed term role available for an experienced Contracts Coordinator/Administrator to join our small team. This is a busy role for an upbeat, highly organised person and a chance to be part of the health system as we implement positive change for our community.
We are looking for someone who has strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys building relationships with others. This role would suit someone who can plan multiple steps while working in a fast-paced environment and someone who has excellent attention to detail.
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for:
- Coordinating and maintaining efficient and effective contracting and contract monitoring processes for Te Whatu Ora Waitaha and Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini.
- Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to support the contracting process.
- Reviewing and editing contract documentation accurately, in accordance with established processes and within expected timeframes.
- Ensuring that internal and external communication regarding contracts is well managed, and responded to appropriately, including management of a shared contracts mailbox.
- Ensuring effective systems and processes are maintained with Sector Operations and with contracts teams in other South Island districts.

The Contracts Coordinator/Administrator is accountable for the provision of high quality, timely contracting support to enable the effective commissioning and delivery of health services and initiatives. This support enables our health system to deliver on its vision, meet the requirements and expectations set by Government and improve health outcomes for the population.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience in contract administration or experience in general adminstration in a relevant or related field. You might have a passion for Health, but you will also have a passion for organisation and want to contribute to the smooth running of the Health System. This is a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities. You - re a person who can keep an eye on the detail while keeping the balls in air, someone who can manage their own workload and a person who can maintain effective relationships under pressure.

Your skills will include:
- Demonstrated administration experience in a contract - s coordination or relevant field.
- Organisational and time management skills and experience meeting multiple deadlines.
- Effective relationship and interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong verbal and numerical reasoning skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to recognise critical risk and respond appropriately.
- Ability to perform in a fast paced and changing environment.
- High level of integrity and accountability for actions.
- Proven computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
