Trial Operations Associate

**_ Where do you want to go?_**:
Working at our Pukekohe site, you will work close with our Testing Research Associate and gain experience with a global employer. Day to day, you will complete a variety of operational activities relating to pre-commercial product testing for our Vegetable research and development pipelines for products being developed for Bayer CropScience. The role will be a mix of in field activities, administration and general upkeep of the Pukekohe site.

This is offered as a full time, 1 year contract allowing you to develop your skills with a well-recognized global brand.

**_ Do something that moves you._**:
Depending on the cropping season, your responsibilities will include:

- Assessing and collecting trial data, as directed by the Testing Research Associate.
- Integrated pest management, including chemical spraying using the backpack or Tractor.
- Crop harvesting
- Seed processing
- Equipment maintenance
- Safely operating the site Tractor and Forklift
- Record keeping of data collected and general administration
- Adhering to occupational H&S policies and safe work practices
- Ensure the site is maintained as a clean and safe environment

**_ Does this sound like you? _**:

- Previous experience working on a commercial trial site, horticultural farm or busy farm.
- Demonstrated competency driving and operating a Tractor and other plant equipment.
- A Growsafe standard certification will be required to be completed if you do not already have one.
- A Forklift license, or willing to undertake additional training to obtain one
- Basic IT literacy and administration skills

Due to the nature of our work, a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test will need to be completed. This is paid and organized for by Bayer CropScience. Working rights for NZ and reference checks will also be checked.
