Do you love coffee and have previous barista experience? Do you enjoy working as part of a fun and friendly team and interacting with customers? Tamatea PAKnSAVE are currently recruiting for a Café Assistant to work in our on-site coffee cart.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Café Assistant, your top priority is to provide our customers with incredible service, a great tasting coffee and a positive shopping experience. You’ll provide excellent customer service while processing their order in a friendly and efficient manner.

This is a permanent part time role working 27 hours per week. The roster is as follows:
Thursday 6.45am - 4.15pm

Friday 6.45am - 4.15pm

Saturday 6.45am - 4.15pm

Ideally we are looking for someone with previous experience making coffee and working in a cafe/hospitality environment.

If you are flexible to pick up extra shifts as required, it is very likely the role will grow and if you want more hours, they are generally available most weeks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Providing all customers with a positive café experience
- Communicating regularly with customers, and working quickly to make the orders.
- Keeping stock levels topped up (coffee cups, milk and other items)
- Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy and adhering to our cleaning procedures.

**ABOUT YOU**

We invite applicants that are highly motivated, friendly and outgoing with a great team attitude. You will display outstanding communication skills, high presentation standards, honesty and an excellent work ethic. Ideally, you will have some barista experience, and have worked in a retail or hospitality environment. Applicants **must** have a willingness to learn, be able to commit to working at least one weekend shift, and have the ability to work early morning shifts. You'll need to be comfortable working alone in the coffee cart, as it is a confined space, only suited to having 1 or 2 people working in there.

The role can be physically demanding, lifting heavy items and standing for long periods.

You must have:

- The ability to multi task, work independently and stay focused
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- A customer focused approach
- Rights to work in New Zealand
