**Workshop Technician**

Permanent - Term Time Only - Part time or Full time

We are looking for someone to join our team learning technology team in the role of Workshop Technician reporting to the Head of Learning Technology. This is a term time only role, and could be 4 or 5 days a week depending upon the successful applicant. There will only be four weeks of full duty in term 4 with the role then moving to a casual as needed basis until the end of the year.

The primary purposes and responsibilities of the role are:

- Preparation - of project materials, tools and consumables for students
- Construction - preparation cutting, constructing jigs and pattern guides
- Health and Safety - workshop housekeeping and maintenance
- Maintenance - general cleaning and maintenance of machinery
- Training - student demonstrations as may be requested
- Classes - assisting classroom teacher with demonstration and supervision during classes as requested
- Communication - report and relate to teachers on a daily basis
- Administration - machinery maintenance logs, pre start checks, tracking workshop consumables

The ideal applicant will have a background in woodworking, carpentry and/or joinery.
