**About the Role**
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dynamic NZ Registered Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit at Whakatane Hospital. This role is ideal for someone dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey and motivated to deliver an innovative, culturally effective acute mental health service.

In this role, you will have the chance to use your initiative and work autonomously while being part of a supportive, collaborative multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will take charge of coordinating an established therapeutic group program, with opportunities for growth and further development.

Other key responsibilities include collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to support discharge planning, conducting functional assessments, providing psychoeducation, ensuring a well-functioning Sensory Modulation program, and playing an integral part in the Zero Seclusion project team. The successful applicant will join a growing and supportive allied health team, working closely alongside social work, physio, pharmacy, psychology, and OT assistant colleagues.

This is a permanent 0.8FTE vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight.
