We have an exciting position for a Clinical Governance and Complaints Coordinator to join our Hospital Group. The Hospital Group is responsible for acute, medical and surgical services including pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology within Hospital and Specialist Services at Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Māui.

The role will be responsible for liaising with the Hospital Group’s clinical teams to support clinical governance and provide coordination of feedback received from consumers and whānau about their experiences including reviewing complex systems and developing reporting mechanisms to support auditing and accreditation. An understanding and working knowledge of Ngā Paerewa standards is highly desired.

This will be a varied role with the patient and whānau being the core focus. A key component of this position is to provide coordination of feedback received from consumers and whānau about their experiences. Essential to this role will be working in partnership with the cultural leadership of Te Whatu Ora, Te Aka Whai Ora and other Māori stakeholders to ensure that the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including addressing equitable health outcomes, is included in all levels of planning, coordination, and decision-making.

We are looking for someone who can utilise their clinical credibility and highly honed communication and quality improvement skills to coordinate and support complex systems and processes. It is essential that you are able to deal sensitively and confidentially with all information and have strong attention to detail. You will need to be proficient in using computer systems and software (including the Microsoft suite of programmes). Being able to prioritise work effectively and be comfortable working to deadlines are also priorities.

You’ll need to be self-motivated and results driven as well as enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You’ll have a passion for making a difference to our patients and whānau and be able to recognise the needs, aims, and aspirations of whānau from culturally diverse groups within our community.
