Identifying a solid market demand, the Shade Elements arm of the business was launched in 2012 and works alongside its parent company QCD Limited which continues to deliver the traditional material and product supply arm of the business. Shade Elements leads the market delivering well-designed, made to measure indoor and outdoor shading systems including internal and exterior blinds, venetians, screens, awnings and pergolas for New Zealand businesses. World leading products are sourced from around the globe and are assembled right here in our Auckland based factory.

Our company prides itself not only on creating quality and versatile spaces for both indoor and outdoor living - just the way Kiwis like it and having highly skilled and professional staff who are dedicated, loyal and contribute to a fun and enjoyable place to work.

You’ll help to create our Indoor and outdoor products using various equipment accurately and efficiently, ready to be sent out to our customers. The role is based at our Penrose facility, 40 hours per week, 6am-2.30pm Monday to Friday

What you’ll be doing in the job
- Manufacturing (Fabrication, Welding, Assembly and packing)
- Keeping to the production schedule to ensure that we’re meeting customer demand
- Safely operating manufacturing machinery such as welding tools, saws and assembly machinery

What you will bring to the job
- Previous assembling or light manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience using drills, saws and general building tools
- Able to safely do light to heavy lifting
- Proven reliability and willingness to learn
- Accuracy and attention to detail
