Our Merchandise team works with supplier partners and store teams on category ranging, buying, pricing and promotions so we can get the right products on the right shelves at the right time for our customers.

**Te Tūranga - About the role**

As a Quality Controller, you’ll proactively identify product defects, working with the buying and DC teams to ensure quality specifications are met and that the quality of our produce is of a high quality and as fresh as it can be before it leaves our Distribution Centres for stores.

To ensure our customers get the best produce, some of your responsibilities will be to:

- Ensure records are maintained to identify high risk produce and suppliers, liaising with growers and suppliers to address issues.
- Work cross functionally to align quality processes keeping relevant stakeholders abreast of progress related to quality.
- Create and maintain quality dashboards, providing quality reports relating to quality.
- Follow best practice process and metrics to ensure customers consistently get the best quality products.
- Check and count inbound deliveries from suppliers, by comparing expected stock to actual stock received and Goods Receipt the checked inbound stock.

**He kōrero mōu - About you**

A strong communicator with a passion for fresh produce, your knowledge of the produce industry coupled with your awesome organisational ability will set you up for success in this busy team.

Ideally you’ll have:

- Experience in a quality control role or experience within the produce/FMCG industry
- Great attention to detail and a passion for perfect produce.
- Proven experience as someone who is process driven with the ability to assess qualitative and quantitative information to make sound decisions.
- Awesome stakeholder management experience.
- Effective communication with the ability to engage with a variety of customers and colleagues.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Availability to work Part Time, 25 hours per week Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00am - 2:30pm.
