**The Team**: What we do
Social Work Services at Christchurch Hospital
Social Workers to join our child health team working at Christchurch campus. We provide a 24-hour social work service, 7
days a week, as part of a Multidisciplinary
team taking a holistic approach to patient care. We currently have a Full-time (40hr per week) working
in our Child Health team.
Days and hours required are Monday - Friday 7.30am
- 4.00pm with participation in the after hours on call roster.
**The Role**: Where you fit in
In this role, you will be responsible
**for**:
- Assessment, monitoring and support of clients
within the service in accordance with ANZASW Code of Ethics and Standards of
Practice;
- Attend and participate in social work team and
staff meetings;
- Participate in service development and quality
assurance initiatives/processes.
**Your skills will include**:
- A passion for working with adults, children
and their families/whanau;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability
to relate to people from all walks of life;
- Hospital experience is advantageous, as is
experience with Care and Protection, Paediatric social work and experience with
child cancers;
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate issued
under the Social Workers - Registration Act (2003) is essential. This role will see you working with a
range of multidisciplinary teams, so being a team player who can adapt will be
essential to your success. Our service is committed to the professional
