Audio Visual Technician

**About the opportunity**:
Join our Auckland production client as their next Audio Visual Technician They provide end-to-end solutions from design and planning to supply, installation and operation of sound, lighting, video, staging and dressing equipment for their awesome clients. The role of an AV Technician is to use your skills and competence as a specialist to help partner with their clients to deliver outstanding events.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Prep and de-prep equipment and all is accounted-for and returned to the correct storage area post-event
- Maintain, test and repair equipment when necessary
- Drive, load and unload company vehicles (trucks and vans) in a safe and responsible manner
- Manage crews to ensure that all work is carried out as efficiently and safely as possible and that deadlines are met successfully
- Work directly with clients efficiently and professionally to ensure that they are getting the very best delivery outcomes
- Organise technical services and logistics for events
- Complete all necessary Health & Safety documentation before the event takes place and ensure that all risks are adequately managed
- Always wear the appropriate PPE for work carried-out
- Keep audio, video and lighting systems up to date and ensure “best practice” standards are maintained at all times
- Undertake training and up-skilling for employees within the Company, ensuring that all staff understand how to use the Company equipment

**This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities**:

- Working knowledge of computer software applicable, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Wireless Workbench and SMAART, is desirable
- Clean New Zealand driving licence
- A professional approach to your work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
