**About the role**
As a key member of the People team, this People Advisor role will provide effective assistance to the organisation’s managers to drive engagement, wellbeing, and help develop a great work environment, while advising on HR technical matters. You will play a key role in helping our people flourish and be the best they can be, whilst delivering excellence in customer outcomes. You will have a drive to lead change and initiatives in people processes, while having the confidence to communicate with employees and senior leaders on a variety of HR matters.
This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch and is a full time, permanent position with a hybrid work environment.
**Where you’ll make an impact**
- Enable business leaders to effectively manage, develop, and engage their people.
- Partner with leaders and ensure effective delivery of people strategies including aligning performance, capability, engagement, and talent initiatives to the business.
- Implement people strategies that attract, develop, and retain talent while developing engagement initiatives that impact continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide actionable insights to leaders on trends in HR metrics and provide support and coaching to act on the people data.
- Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, with support from the Head of People.
- Coach people leaders to manage people processes, and in the return to work of injured or ill employees.
- Support the planning and implementation of a range of business initiatives and change programmes across the business, including partnering with the Leadership & Development Lead.
**What about you**:
- Degree in HR, Psychology or Management or other HR or business-related tertiary study.
- Business focussed with a range of HR, ER and L&D models, frameworks, and principals.
- Experience partnering with leaders to provide fit-for-purpose HR advice on the full employee lifecycle.
- Experience in supporting a variety of HR disciplines including leadership capability, operational HR delivery, Employee Relations, talent management, organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and retention.
- Drive to deliver effectively on day to day and broader outcomes.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence change.
- Technologically competent.
