Mitre 10 MEGA Palmerston North is looking for a dynamic **Merchandise Manager** to lead both **inventory operations**and **merchandise planning**. This is a key leadership role focused on **range productivity**, **store and bay layout optimization**, and **maximizing customer experience**, while driving **profitability and sales growth** through smart inventory and merchandising strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Management**:

- Oversee **stock replenishment** to maintain optimal inventory levels and product availability.
- Ensure **stocktake integrity** through accurate cycle counts and audits.
- Manage **pricing accuracy** across all inventory to align with company standards and promotional strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels to **maximize availability** while minimizing excess stock and waste.

**Merchandising & Range Productivity**:

- Develop and implement strategies to **optimize product range** and ensure high productivity across all categories.
- Plan and execute **store and bay layouts** that enhance accessibility, visual appeal, and customer flow.
- Collaborate with buying and sales teams to align inventory with **customer demand, seasonal trends, and promotional campaigns**.
- Analyze sales and performance data to identify opportunities for **improved profitability and range efficiency**.
- Ensure **visual merchandising standards** are maintained to create an engaging shopping experience.

**Leadership & Compliance**:

- Lead and coach the inventory and merchandising team to deliver operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with Mitre 10 standards and systems.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
