**_About the role_**
After 16 years with us, our wonderful Sales Consultant is moving on. An exciting and rare opportunity has emerged for an experienced Sales Consultant to join our Sales team on a fixed term basis to drive direct sales at Selwyn Village, managing the entire sales process. As Sales Consultant you will play a significant role by providing support to the Sales Manager to maximize sales revenue and ensure prospective residents receive a professional sales experience from the Selwyn Foundation.
With new building developments at Selwyn Village you will be responsible for apartment sales and ensuring all legal and contractual activities are compliant with the Retirement Villages Act, Code of Practice and standard operation procedures.
You will be responsible for managing the sales process by maintaining a database of prospects, arranging promotional events, ensuring enquires are responded to promptly and that sales prospects are provided with a welcoming and informative tour for our apartments and village facilities.
This is a Monday to Friday role however some Saturday's will also be required to come in and show families around the village. Flexibility during the week will be given to offset Saturdays worked.
**_About you_**
Ideally you will have significant experience as a sales consultant in the retirement village industry, proven customer services experience and warm empathetic nature. You will also demonstrate extensive knowledge of the aged care industry and have experience working in a fast paced environment, juggling conflicting priorities.
**Other key requirements include**:
- A minimum of 5+ years experience in Sales in the aged care industry or similar industry
- Proven track record in high value/concept selling
- An understanding of the aged care industry and the provision of retirement and residential services.
- Proven experience in developing sales strategies and customer relationship management
- High level of professionalism and values based approach
- Strong understanding of the Retirement Villages Act and Code of Practice
- A self - starter, autonomous with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to work in a small team, influence and win the confidence of others.
- Great computer skills and quick to learn new systems
