**About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead to provide professional leadership to our clinical RTR staff. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering training and professional development to other service providers working with refugee clients or patients. Additionally, the Clinical Lead will manage a caseload of clients, ensuring high-quality care and support. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate leader to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic, community-focussed environment.

In this role you will:

- Manage a client caseload, including screening, assessments, advocacy, support, counselling, and therapy.
- Provide clinical leadership and professional monitoring, offering feedback and guidance to clinical staff.
- Facilitate clinical staff meetings and group supervision of casework.
- Advise the Manager Migrant Wellbeing on recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and staff training and development needs.
- Ensure clinical staff adhere to professional guidelines and address safety or ethical concerns impacting staff or performance.
- Oversee caseloads, triage processes, and client referrals, ensuring timely allocation and managing waitlists to minimize delays.
- Liaise with other service providers, represent RTR in network meetings, and handle requests for presentations.

**Who are we looking for? - Mā‎ wai te mahi nei?**

To be successful you will have:

- Hold a qualification in a relevant field such as clinical psychology, psychotherapy and/or counselling, along with membership of a professional organisation or registration board in a relevant field
- A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, including professional leadership of mental health teams
- A Sound understanding of the refugee experience
- Strong understanding of therapeutic models for addressing trauma, grief, and loss, with expertise in mental health disorders such as PTSD, depression, and somatisation.
- Experience in delivering services to diverse cultural groups, with a focus on working cross-culturally and building rapport with clients from different ethnic backgrounds.
- Proven ability to engage with networks, government, and non-government agencies, providing advocacy and ensuring effective service delivery.
- Excellent communication, IT, and time management skills, with experience in training, presentations, and working with interpreters.
