Spoil Coordinator

**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
Some of the things you may get involved with but may not be limited to the following
- Working collaboratively with the construction teams to ensure that spoil management for the works is carefully planned, forecasted, and coordinated.
- Performing daily administration duties tracking spoil locations, type and quantity as required by the GAJV and our client.
- Working closely with the Logistics Manager on truck, plant, and haulage requirements.
- Assisting the Spoil Manager to ensure the spoil management plan is optimised to achieve efficiency both in disposal and costings.
- Liaising with the spoil haulage subcontractor to manage the movement of spoil.
- Actively looking for opportunities to reuse spoil across GAJV project sites.
- Conducting spoil testing on sites and treating spoil appropriately to reach specification requirements.
- Full class 1 driver's licence
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Science or equivalent degree
- Sound knowledge and experience working in the construction/infrastructure sector ideal
- 2-3 years' experience with environmental/soil/contamination testing.
