To ensure the continued success of the ward we require a Charge Nurse with a high level of senior experience.
Ward 29 is a busy acute surgical ward with 32 beds providing care for a full range of surgical conditions, specialising in general, vascular and colorectal surgery. The ward also provides care for patients who step down from Intensive Care, ensuring a high level of skilled care is provided.
The successful applicant for the Charge Nurse role will have a broad knowledge base with recent surgical nursing experience, and will be capable of providing leadership and management for the nursing team in the ward. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team will be essential. Ideally you will have Level 4 PDRP, or being well on the way towards achieving this.
Essential criteria will include:
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or recent experience at Associate Charge Nurse level or equivalent senior nurse role
- Recent experience in Surgical nursing
- Ability to lead/influence change and change processes
- PDRP level 4, or evidence to support the same
