- New Zealand.

This role will focus on the leadership and strategic planning of our placement services team, delivery of strategic placement services for our key clients and raising the profile of Marsh within the market to ensure best results are delivered to our clients.

**We will count on you to**:

- Contribute to the preparation, management, implementation, and achievement of the team’s business plans and goals
- Plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal performance exceeds set targets
- Engender a positive and tenacious client retention and development focus by encouraging regular communication of client status and promptly addressing any client retention issues
- Formally review your team’s performance in accordance with Marsh’s programs and encourage and develop your team’s skills through on-the-job training, continuous performance feedback, external competency-based training and career feedback
- Maximise utilisation of Marsh’s national and global resources by maintaining and communicating to your team the facilities and capabilities available through Marsh and the wider MMC enterprise
- Ensure the team meets and exceeds service standards agreed in client service agreements
- Develop and maintain positive meaningful working relationships with insurers within local and global markets, ensuring Marsh clients achieve the best solution available
- Maximise team and account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing and sensible expense control.
- Actively develop additional business from existing team portfolios in line with budget targets
- Personally comply with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures and ensure that no Errors and Omissions occur within your team

**What you need to have**:

- Strong industry and placement experience
- Strong sales acumen and client management skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Travel will be required

**What makes you stand out**:

- Post Graduate Management qualification or equivalent
- Senior Associate of ANZIIF
- Confident in communicating at all levels, a strategic thinker and an inspiring leader
- Ability to lead and encourage direct reports and peers to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong placement experience and market credibility
