**MAINTENANCE FITTER**

**Hornby, Christchurch**

**Afternoon Shift: Monday
- Friday 4pm - 12.00am**

Oji Fibre Solutions is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our customers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce, industrial and grocery sectors.

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter with proven industrial or food manufacturing experience Join our highly experienced team, working in our busy manufacturing plant based in Hornby, Christchurch. A focus on scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdowns and project work will keep you busy, while ensuring timely repairs to our plant and equipment, to keep production downtime to a minimum.

We need a person who is high energy, with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. If you work with a sense of urgency and have an enquiring mind, then these are attributes that will be greatly valued along with your solid maintenance engineering skills. In addition, a flexible attitude towards working overtime during the peak season or when required.

You need:

- A minimum of Trade Cert in Fitting & Turning, or Fitting & Welding or equivalent Qualification.
- Ability to understand and complete work on large European made Industrial machinery.
- Work within a busy plant, ensuring delivery of scheduled and planned maintenance outside normal shift hours, ensuring maximum up time / production capability to the plant with mínimal stoppages.
- Solid grounding in Bearing fitting, pneumatics, hydraulic systems and good engineering practises.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and 5s in the working environment
- Commitment to high levels of health and safety (on and offsite) is a must.
