**Company**

Our client is a New Zealand listed company that designs and supplies automated systems and equipment for the global food processing, timber/saw milling and logistics sectors. We are an international business with numerous installations in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Mexico and Europe.

**The role**

Our client is on the hunt for an engineering tradesperson in our Hastings product centre. The role involves a variety of work, fabrication and fitting on a range of projects, often with tight deadlines. The person fitted to this role will be able to share trade knowledge and help with the upskilling of workshop team members, as well as participating in all activities intended to improve quality, safety and skill development. Overtime may be available from time to time.

**Skills and Attributes**
- Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Comply with all processes & procedures
- Experienced in instructing and training apprentices in correct trade practices
- MIG/TIG welding, stainless and mild steel fabrication
- General sheet metal fabrication
- Understanding and commitment to Health & Safety
- Committed to high performance and customer service
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
