Te Mahi/About the Position

We are seeking a permanent full-time, Clinical Nurse Educator - Workforce to join our team based in Christchurch. This is a pivotal position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with flexibility required to meet service needs.

In this position, you will:

- Coordinate and support the Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) across the organisation.
- Lead the planning and implementation of clinical education programmes, including undergraduate nursing placements within the Dedicated Education Unit (DEU), and support for NETP and ENSIPP participants.
- Develop, implement, and review clinical education programmes and in-service training in collaboration with nursing and quality teams.
- Actively contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and uphold Ngā Paerewa - Health and Disability Services Standards.
- Collaborate with tertiary institutions, internal teams, and national groups to deliver current best practice in clinical education.
- Promote the use of best practice clinical skills and critical thinking, encouraging career progression pathways for nursing staff.
- Support the implementation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, with a focus on equity and effective partnership with Māori.

You are an experienced Registered Nurse, committed to advancing nursing practice through leadership, education, and mentorship. You will bring:

- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and NZQA Assessor qualification (4098)
- A postgraduate qualification (or be working towards one)
- At least five years' experience in community nursing and/or nursing education
- A sound understanding of clinical governance, adult education, and health quality standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff at all levels
- Cultural competency and a commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital education tools
- A full NZ driver's license and legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
