Court Victim Advisor - Sexual Violence, Christchurch District Court

- Assist the Court in responding to the needs of sexual violence victims
- Provide support throughout the court process to victims
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and adaptable person who has the necessary specialist knowledge, skills and experience to make a major contribution to assisting victims of sexual violence through the court process.
You will be part of a team responsible for delivering high quality advice and support to victims of sexual violence offences on the progress of their case and how to participate effectively in the criminal justice system.
If you have strong abilities in creating and maintaining effective relationships and are a confident communicator with sound judgement then this is the position for you. You will also possess cultural awareness and competencies to enable you to work with all victims and their families who are from diverse cultural backgrounds.
He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the sector is essential.
The successful applicant will be a member of the Christchurch and West Coast team of Court Victim Advisors and will be based at the Christchurch District Court. A current driver's license is essential.
