**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all facets of the day to day operations of the Deli Department and ensuring staff are well trained and managed to provide the best overall shopping experience for our customers. This role will involve ensuring sales and GP targets for the department are met or exceeded. You will undertake the assigned tasks of a Deli Manager as required and ensure that the required stock levels are maintained. The Deli Manager will also control all department costs and minimise wastage.
You will be required to roster to ensure adequate staff levels at all times, keeping in line with wage percentage targets and monitoring leave. You will be responsible for performance management discussions with all Deli team members.
**THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL**:
- Have At least 2 years’ retail experience in a supervisory position
- Be flexible and driven with a strong work ethic
- Ideally have Fresh Foods Department experience
- Have financial and commercial acumen to a high level
- Have SAP experience
