Catering Assistant, Cambridge

10 hours per week (Monday & Tuesday, 2pm - 7pm)

We need you to help us deliver the best food service experience in the industry Cambridge Resthaven caters for 100 residents across two sites (Vogel Street and Burns Street), providing a full range of aged care needs including a dedicated dementia unit.

This position requires someone who is confident to work unsupervised, as much of the shift will be working sole charge in our satellite kitchen in Vogel Street. A drivers’ licence to assist with deliveries between sites would be an advantage.

Initially 10 hours per week, there may be opportunity to pick up additional shifts to cover leave and gaps on the roster.

What you’ll do:

- ensure the kitchen is safe and hazard free by doing dishes, removing rubbish, and cleaning.
- assist with service and clearing away afterwards.
- top up supplies, help to keep the kitchen running smoothly, and left clean and tidy at the end of shift.
- assisting with food preparation as required (e.g. making sandwiches)

Who You Are:

- show attention to detail, and good time management skills
- able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
- be an exceptional team player with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude.
- friendly and engaging and know what it means to deliver outstanding customer service.
- able to take responsibility and use initiative in order to work unsupervised.
