**Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity**

Te Whatu Ora is embarking on a significant change programme in the coming months to deliver on our aspirations for our reformed health system. This means bringing together the thirty-or-so organisations which Te Whatu Ora is made up of into a coherent team of teams that can keep New Zealanders well across the motu and support our frontline staff. At the same time, we are working to deliver on Te Pae Tata | the New Zealand Health Plan, which sets out an ambitious programme of work to improve the care New Zealanders receive.

The Career Transition Coach will work as part of a small team, working in partnership with specific groups of employees to provide confidential, holistic and tailored 1:1 career coaching, workshops, and resources to support employees who are going through proposed changes in roles due to change management processes. The Career Transition Coach will work with employees to make well thought out career decisions based upon their key strengths, interests, values & needs, attributes and opportunities available to them.

The Career Transition Coach will work with employees to:

- Take stock of what they have to offer and want in their career moving forward
- Prepare and plan for the 'future of work'
- Create effective CV's and covering letters
- Prepare for an effective job search campaign
- Network strategically
- Understand the dynamics of the interviews process

The roles will report into the Career and Transition Centre Manager and will assist HR Change Managers, HR Business Partners and Change Coaches in supporting employees who are going through proposed changes in roles due to change management processes. This role is focused on providing proactive and practical career support to ensure retention of talent across our organisation. This role is a 12-month secondment opportunity.

This is a fulltime, 12 month opportunity.

**Mōu | About you**

For this role, we are looking for individuals who are people-centred in their work approach, with highly developed emotional intelligence, strong coaching and facilitation skills, both in person and online using Zoom and Microsoft Teams. You will need strong interpersonal skills with proven experience in establishing working relationships of trust and respect at all levels. You will have extensive experience in relationship building and stakeholder management, together with strong abilities to work with a diverse group of people across the organisation, so that we deliver on the programme's overall objectives.

You will be comfortable both working on your own initiative and as part of a small career transition team who is focused on proactively supporting our employees through proposed changes in roles due to the change management processes. You need to be able to work in a fast moving, complex and dynamic working environment, ensuring that we manage risk, hit milestones, and get outcomes that leave our people feeling supported and cared for throughout the change processes.
