**Duties**:You will be required to perform the following duties
- pick up & delivery of items including homewares, appliances & kithen joinery items etc.
- Pick up deliveries from our client's warehouse (e.g. trade depot’s warehouse) to end customers’ homes across New Zealand
- determining the destinations of goods and most appropriate delivery routes
- manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
- assisting with loading to ensure goods are arranged for ease of delivery and everything is safely secured to avoid damage
- verifying and confirm loading documents
- arranging and performing unloading operations and obtaining proof of deliveries as per client needs.
- reporting vehicle maintenance needs

**Working hours**: This is a 7 days operation while following all relevant NZTA’s driving guidelines. You will be working for a minimum 30 hours per week. You will be working in rostered shifts and will have atleast2 consecutive days off per week.

**Travel requirements**:Your base of employment will be in Christchurch/Canterbury region but you will required to go on at least 3 overnight trips in a week across New Zealand. Accommodation will be supplied/paid for by Gromo but not the meals.

**Job requirements**:In order to be successful in this role:

- You need to have good literary and numeracy skills to be able to read documentation and choose the best delivery routes.
- No experience is requires as all relevant training will be provided and you will be joining the existing drivers as off loaders as part of your induction.
- Must have clean class 1 driving requirements
- Ability to clear a medical test and drug and alcohol test at the cost of employer. We may also undertake frequent on the job drug/alcohol tests within the legal parameters of NZ law to ensure that you remain fit and committed to your role.
