Who are we?
The Child Development Service (CDS) working for the Waitematā community reflects 'enabling good lives' principles and prides itself on a collaborative approach to improving outcomes for tamariki. Our team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Speech Language Therapists and Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapists.
About the role
This fixed term funding is to support caseload expansion and reduce waiting times/improve access to the service. Specifically, you will deliver services to tamariki, their whānau and support networks based on a positive behaviour support framework. The role supports the provision of psychological consultation and input with the multi-disciplinary team and the provision of training and constructive feedback to other staff on psychological issues. You will also liaise with Explore.
What we are looking for?
We are looking for an experienced ABA trained psychologist to provide children with evidenced-based psychological assessment, management and treatment of a range of psychological conditions associated with chronic medical conditions. You will have a strong focus on professional collaboration and whānau -focused practice. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in the field of disability and behaviour support who has a minimum of 3 years' experience working with tamariki and whānau.
