We have an opportunity for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our dynamic team in Christchurch. We’ll start developing your fire safety design solutions from day one, as you gain experience working across our interesting and complex range of projects nationally. About the role*
As a Graduate Engineer with us, we will support, develop and establish your fire safety knowledge across projects for new and existing buildings. Every building is different and the challenges we work on constantly change, we assess and deliver strong technical design and produce documentation for building consent.
You will be working with the Fire Engineering team and will effectively contribute to:
- Establishing fire safety performance-based design solutions and analysis of residential buildings through to multi-storey commercial designs.
- Preparation of fee proposals, fire reports and drawings.
- Undertake site inspections and construction management, including drafting contract instructions.
- Building review and assessments for compliance.
- Developing your consultant skills, contributing to business development and liaising with clients.

**About you**
- MEng specialising in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent tertiary degree.
- Knowledge of CFD Modelling (FDS), and Zone Modelling (B-Risk).
- Adaptable with a keen eye for detail.
- A natural problem solver, with a positive attitude and willingness to grow.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people.
