**About the role**

We are looking for a Solicitor to join Christchurch’s leading corporate team. Ideally, you will have at least some exposure within commercial, M&A, securities, or corporate governance work, and evidence a keen interest in progressing in the field.

As a member of our Corporate & Commercial team, you will be working with New Zealand’s leading transactional lawyers across our national Corporate Practice. You will work under the supervision of partner, Nick Letham, and with the other commercial partners in the team and will gain exposure to a broad range of corporate transactions including sale & purchase transactions, joint ventures, supply & distribution agreements and other commercial arrangements.

Our Christchurch Corporate team continues to work on some of New Zealand’s most high profile corporate transactions for blue chip domestic clients and international investors, and you won’t get a better opportunity than this to learn from the best and grow in this field.

You will also have the opportunity to work with the wider Chapman Tripp team - across finance, property, RM and other practice areas. We encourage all our lawyers to engage directly with clients, so you will be managing files and building your own client relationships.
