The Youth and Community Engagement Manager is an important organisation change role and will support the Head of Youth and Community Engagement by leading out and managing the Youth Guarantee (YG), Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) and Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) initiatives, a key goal of these initiatives is to effectively bring about the sustainable changes necessary to achieve (at a minimum) equity for Māori in access, participation, achievement, and outcomes across these areas. This role will contribute significantly to our growth, innovation and solidification of Toi Ohomai as a contributor to Māori succeeding as Māori, and as an organisation able to respond to iwi aspirations and community needs.

More specifically, the Youth and Community Engagement Manager will:

- Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Youth and Community Engagement strategy as it applies to their area
- Manage and report on key milestones of the initiatives both internally and externally
- Provide leadership for the implementation of YG and MPTT initiatives within the organisation
- Build and Maintain relationships with TEC, MOE and other key stakeholders
- Provide leadership in supporting the recruitment and development of Māori staff within the organisation
