Social Worker Caregiver - Caregiver Enquiries Team
The Caregiver Enquiry Team provides a national service to New Zealanders interested in caring for tamariki.
We provide a timely and responsive service that puts caregivers at the centre of everything you do. We are primarily an office-based team located in Grey Lynn. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the role and the service we provide.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
**In this role you will**:

- Complete a Review and provide a written summary for the assessing caregiver social workers
- The ability to manage risk and make informed decisions
- Liaise with Oranga Tamariki teams and sites
- Respond to enquiries from people interested in being a caregiver
- Ensure our caregivers understand their part in a child's journey through care, and ensure they are well informed about the caregiver's role and responsibilities

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
**Key requirements of the role include**:

- A recognised Social Work qualification by the Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB)
- Full registration with New Zealand's Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB)
- A full, clean New Zealand's driver's licence
- Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking and problem-solving techniques
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture and demonstrating this in practice
- Passion and vision for caregivers and what they need to succeed
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong admin and customer service focus
- Tech savvy with experience working with a range of computer-based programs
