Ministry of Architecture + Interiors is a nationally recognized architecture and interior design practice located in the Auckland CBD dedicated to creating engaging built environments that make a positive impact on communities. We're looking for a dynamic Head of Interiors to empower and lead their talented team of interior designers to success.

**The Role**
As the Head of Interiors, you will have the autonomy to make a real difference, stand up, and grow a talented team. You'll have the confidence to give things a go, take calculated risks with support, and contribute to the company's ambitious growth plans. This is your chance to lead and shape a team, driving design excellence, fostering innovation, and building a profitable business area based on your passion for interior design. You will be supported by practice principals and directors and by a friendly and hard working team of designers and technicians.

**Day-to-Day**
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of interior design professionals, collaborating closely with the practice leadership team, and actively engaging in business development activities. You will maintain and grow industry connections through proactive networking, participation in industry events, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Your day-to-day activities will involve project oversight, client relationship management, team leadership, and strategic decision-making to ensure successful project outcomes and business growth. We're also looking for someone technically skilled who is happy to hop on the tools when needed to meet a deadline.

**We're looking for**:
**Interior Design Expertise**: Extensive experience and expertise in interior design, with a strong understanding of products, materials, drafting software and systems used in the industry. A working knowledge of Archicad is preferred but not a requirement.

**Leadership and Management**: Proven leadership skills, inspiring and motivating teams, delegating effectively, and fostering a collaborative work culture.

**Business Development**: Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new clients, cultivate relationships, and drive growth in the hospitality and retail sectors.

**Client Relationship Management**: Strong client management skills, providing excellent customer service and building long-term, trusted relationships.

**Industry Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of the New Zealand interior design industry, trends, and best practices.

**Project Management**

**Communication and Collaboration**: An ability to lead an interior design team while also contributing to architectural projects and development
