**The role**:
We are looking for a Technical Advisor to provide engineering and technical support to the Regulatory and Commercial group. This role is critical in making sure our customers, retailers and energy consultants understand and have complete awareness of Orion’s billing and pricing. If you are all about collaboration, delivering an exceptional customer experience, relationship building and love to be a first port of call, then this is the role for you.

**A little more about the role**:

- Proactively grow and maintain relationships with our major customers including collaborating across Orion business units
- Take the lead in providing technical engineering advice to major customers regarding commercial aspects of their delivery charges
- Review and update annual irrigation audit results while advising customers of remedial work required and manage commercial changes
- Provide high-level support to our major customers as needed during planned or unplanned outages
- Provide support to the billing team with preparation of monthly delivery invoices

**A little more about you**:

- NZ Diploma in Engineering (Level 6) or equivalent knowledge gained through electrical experience, or in a similar role within the energy sector
- Understanding of the NZ regulatory environment regarding the electricity industry (advantage)
- You will have the natural ability where you can engage at all levels including business owners and executive management, where people trust you and come to you for guidance and advice
- Ability to explain very technical data and issues that our customers truly understand
- A customer centric approach with a positive attitude and sense of humour
- A commitment to health and safety
