Telecommunications Technician

We Fast Solutions Limited presently have 2 positions available for Telecommunication Technician in Bay of plenty working minimum 30 hours a week. Hourly rate of $24-$30 per hour. This role is to join our vibrant team that will allow you to develop new skills and gain experience in a rapidly growing industry.

Below skills and trainings will be preferred but we can train the right person.
- WTC1, WTC3, First aid certificate, Level 1 Traffic controller.

But you must have the below
- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience.
- Have sound organizing, and technical skills.

telecommunications experience
- Installation of network infrastructure, cabinets, cable raceways
- Able to interpret technical design documents, drawings and install equipment as per design

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Planning, designing and full installation of NGA end to end service for business and residential customer in

compliance with laws and regulations and recommendations in provisioning of telecommunications systems.
- Installation of customers and equipment for wireless broadband and structured wiring.
- Programming and commissioning of end customer voice and internet data equipment provided by regional service providers.
- Rearrangement or provision of complex new service to business customer.
- Provision of broadband over fibre to next generation access (NGA) solution full commissioning.
- Coordinate with service providers and analyzing and troubleshooting NGA faults.
- Calibrating telecommunication tools and testing equipment and recommendation.
- Responding to inquiries about software and hardware problems.
- Physically install hybrid fibre cable from Fibre Termination Point (FTP) to the desired location of opticalNetwork Terminal (ONT) and Modem.

11.Connecting Fibre at cabinet, Fusion Splicing at Fibre Access

Terminal (FAT), FTP and ONT.
- Programming of ONT, testing fibre connections with the help of fibre inspection kit, power meter and laser

lighting source, provisioning new services with service providers such as Vodafone, Spark, Orcon Trustpower, Slingshot, Megatel etc.
- All other tasks as required.
