The position, reporting to the Service Deli Manager is accountable for assisting the service deli manager to: - Ensure a range of consistently high quality products is available for our customers at all times. - Improving on the range on offer to our customers - Managing Ordering / Stocktaking / Shrinkage - Directing and supervising the team - Rostering - Maintaining the highest standard of merchandising - Ensuring the sales / financial and other targets of the department are met - Maintaining a safe work environment - our people are important - Ensuring all Food Safety requirements are met at all times. - Team Building, development and training of all department staff Applicants need to be able to demonstrate: - The ability to be proactive and engaging with customers and staff. - Confident to manage staff and rosters - Understand costings / GPs - or the willingness to learn - An excellent work ethic - A passion for quality customer service and innovation - Competency on a PC (preferably SAP experience) This role ideally suits an applicant who has previous supermarket or retail supervisory experience, has excellent communication skills and can "walk the talk" when leading their team, everybody works in the department together. You're a team player with high presentation standards, a "can do" attitude that enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
