The Opportunity | Te Kōwhiringa
Our team in North Rural Auckland - Wainui have an exciting opportunity to become part of this high performing team as Renewals Manager.
You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of all aspects of the end-to-end renewal process across surfacing, pavement and major drainage renewals and other associated works.
This means you will identify potential renewal work and prioritise this through delivery, to post construction testing and feedback, ensuring the process runs efficiently and deliver the optimum outcomes.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the development and implementation of the programme for end-to-end renewal delivery and ensuring all those contributing to and/or affected by the process are aware of and have input to the programme
- Managing the Renewal Budgets for the North Rural Renewals and Maintenance Contract
- Monitoring and reporting progress against the programmes, identifying variances, reporting on these and ensuring corrective action as appropriate
- Maintaining an active working relationship with the above parties contributing to the programme
- Adopting a risk based approach
- Proposing changes to our processes as part of continuous improvement
- Ensuring health and safety of work teams and members of the public
Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Matua
- 5-10 years' experience with project management and renewal activities, and will be able to demonstrate good understanding of construction processes, plant suitability and productivity
- Experience in surfacing or road construction
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop positive relationships with, an obtain co-operation from clients, internal and external delivery teams
- A proven track record in developing a culture that supports Zero Harm management
