We are part of a vibrant community in the Horowhenua and Kapiti regions of New Zealand. We’ve been servicing our customers and the community for 100 years and believe the key to our success is our people.

This role will support Electra’s focus on business performance and strategy. We are looking for a Corporate Advisor with 5+ years in a specialist role providing advice and stakeholder management with a Finance, Economics or Business degree.
**About the Role**
This is a unique and specialist role reporting directly to the CFO to give advice on debt financing, strategy, and investments. Your sound understanding of debt facilities will see you being the go-to for our debt financing arrangements to ensure facilities are maintained and covenants are complied with. Your broad experience and commercial understanding will see you working in partnership with other management team members, to support a range of processes including risk management, transactions, and advisory matters. You will be comfortable being part of a finance team and willing to chip in and support other project workstreams as capacity permits.
**About You**
You are someone with strong commercial knowledge, with an eagle eye to quickly pick up issues. You are highly meticulous, outcome orientated, and a forward-looking leader who can foresee possible threats or unintended consequences from decisions, which makes you someone who provides great advice.
You can see the big picture _and_ can pay close attention to the finer detail, while still striving for accuracy and operational excellence. This sees you being a trusted advisor to the CFO and wider team with the ability to drive business insights, actions, and accountability.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- A banking, construction, or treasury sector background
- Integrity, ethical standards, and sound judgment
- Ability to display working understanding of financial industry and regulatory requirements.
- Commercial contractual experience
- Investment, Risk Management and Strategy experience
- Ability to self-direct, analyse and evaluate to form independent judgments.
