**About Us**

Enliven is a not-for-profit service providing aged residential care to older people in the lower half of the North Island. Our Enliven residential services create age-friendly communities where people are happy and thrive, regardless of their age or ability. Our homes and villages are places where older people have companionship, choice, variety, fun, meaningful activity and a sense of purpose.

We are looking for a weekend laundry worker who understands the importance of delivering quality customer focused services to our residents. Our laundry and housekeeping team play an integral part in ensuring that our Homes are a warm, inviting and pleasant environment to live and work.

**About the role**:
This role is 13 hours per week worked over Saturday and Sunday. You will be responsible for a variety of routine laundry duties, including maintaining documents related to residents' laundering and distributing clothing and linen.

You will be operating a variety of modern laundry machines and equipment whilst undertaking a range of laundry procedures such as, washing, drying, ironing, folding and delivering residents' clothing.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work; has a friendly and positive attitude and aims for a high standard of customer satisfaction. Also ideal:

- Previous experience in Laundry practices in a residential, hospital or hospitality setting
- Knowledge and experience in commercial cleaning processes, but we can help you learn about this
- Patience, common sense and a strong ethos of service to others
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks & priorities
- Ability to relate and converse with older people, and understanding you are in their Home
- Ability and commitment to work in a team, and use initiative when required
- Commitment to health and safety practices and good hygiene

Whilst the core hours are across Saturday and Sunday, we sometimes have additional shifts during the week to cover, so some willingness and ability to work outside of the weekends would be a bonus.
