**About this role**:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a fun and dynamic team? We are seeking a motivated and relationship focused Kairuruku (Co-ordinator) to join Manu Taaiko (previously known as the Maaori partnerships team) for 11 months in a fixed term role. The hours of work would be 30 hours per week, and we are open to discussing further with the suitable applicant start and finish times which would remain in core business hours. In this role you will work on being the key connector and all round co-ordinator for the Manu Taaiko team who predominantly work across the Council and with iwi, hapuu, marae and whaanau members across the district.
**What I do?**
- Maintain databases and records relevant to iwi and hapuu engagement.
- Facilitate communications with iwi, hapuu, marae, and Maaori organisations.
- Draft and distribute paanui, updates, and reports in a culturally appropriate manner.
- Uphold tikanga and kawa in all engagement activities.
- Assist with internal reporting and updates to leadership.
- Support the delivery of Maaori-led projects and initiatives.
**What I bring?**
- Experience in administration, coordination, or project support roles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and project tracking tools.
- Excellent oral and written skills both in Te Reo Maaori and English.
- Experience working in Kaupapa Maaori environments or with iwi/hapuu/marae.
- Knowledge of Waikato-Tainui and other iwi within the Council rohe.
