Roofer/labourer

DT Roofking Ltd is in central Auckland. We are looking for roofers to join our busy team.

You need
- requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
- to demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role
- to be friendly and approachable
- to understand and deliver good customer service
- good attention to detail
- to demonstrate good time management and project management skills
- a full driving licence

Day to day responsibilities

**- **documenting and informing about roof condition
- determining job requirements and planning/configuring materials
- installations, repairing and replacing roofing including conventional, inverted built-up, single-ply and two-ply modified. Using materials, such as wood, brick, asphalt, tar, shingles, slate, aluminum, bricks and other appropriate materials
- day to day associated tasks including damp, water and weather
- proofing, bind, insulate and seal openings in roofs installing and repairing slate, leadwork, guttering, tile and shingles, resurfacing roofs and associated joinery.
- undertaking examination, inspection, checking/assessing and when directed

**- **help to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety
- carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements
- carry out tasks within agreed time limits
- ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- report to Line Manager
- immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
- meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
- contribute towards the smooth running of the team
- adhere to all organisation policies and procedures

From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.

You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.

You will need to travel among different worksites within in Auckland region. Your each shift is 8 hours. However, you may expect to work over-time in accordance with your team tasks. You will work between 35 hours and 60 hours per week.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
