**The Role**:
Our GIS team is at the heart of spatial planning and mapping within the Council. We support the organisation by managing data, delivering continuous improvement initiatives, and driving projects from conceptual stages through to full implementation. We are looking for an enthusiastic, solution-focused, and technically minded individual to join our team. This is a part-time position for 25 hours per week, ideally worked over 5 days a week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process operational requests from both internal and external customers within agreed timeframes.
- Manage and maintain GIS data and databases, ensuring high standards of data integrity.
- Collaborate on the design, development, and implementation of innovative spatial solutions.

**Essential Criteria**:

- A relevant qualification in GIS or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in a GIS role would be ideal.
- Proficient in data management and familiar with GIS software, including QGIS.
- Demonstrated experience in GIS database maintenance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build productive relationships internally and externally.
