Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Manager IT Infrastructure and Platforms reports to the Chief Information Officer and leads a small team of leaders who support Toitū Te Whenua staff to manage, keep safe, and use our Information Technology assets.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to shape our Infrastructure and Platforms functions for future delivery, while providing direction and leadership across a high performing and engaged group of technical squads.
Be an advocate for our technology functions and practices to ensure that we meet our business needs and legislative requirements. Through your leadership you will provide direction to support overall organisational strategy. Ideally you will have experience in delivering in an Agile IT operating environment, to enable continuous delivery.
You will need to have exceptional communication and stakeholder relationships skills to enable you to manage, promote and influence across the business to ensure that we provide our technology to a consistently high standard.
This position works closely with the Manager IT Operations Assurance to ensure our IT services are delivering to our customer's needs, and squads are meeting targets.

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
- Experience in IT Leadership operating in central or local New Zealand government and setting IT up for continued future success
- Strong leadership skills so you can continue to foster a cohesive and engaged team of leaders who strive to perform to the highest standards and provide exceptional service and advice to stakeholders across LINZ
- Possess strong technical capability and significant experience in Technical IT operating environments
- Ideally experience of operating in an Agile IT organisation to use the methodology to continuously deliver
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills working across all levels of a government organisation
- The ability to identify and prioritise issues and help guide technical squads to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Excellent oral and written communications skills

The annual salary range for this position is $134,989 - 182,633 and we offer flexible working conditions.
