**Furniture Removalist - Full-Time**

**Location: Christchurch, Canterbury**

Eco Shifters is looking for a reliable and physically fit 2 x Furniture Removalist primarily in Christchurch Canterbury; however, you must be open to work at different locations as and when required (ample notice period will be given and for overnight stay - accommodation will be arranged). This role involves lifting, loading, and transporting furniture and household items during residential and commercial relocations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Drive removal vans or trucks to various pickup and delivery nationwide locations.
- Manoeuvre vehicles into position for safe and efficient loading and unloading.
- Load and unload furniture using lifting equipment or manual handling techniques while observing all health and safety protocols.
- Estimate load weights and ensure goods are safely distributed to meet vehicle load limits and road safety standards.
- Securely stow and cover all goods to prevent loss or damage during transit.
- Verify and check loading documents, inspect the condition of goods, and obtain delivery confirmations as required.
- Perform regular vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional, courteous attitude with clients and team members.

**Requirements**:

- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items
- Previous experience in furniture removals or similar work preferred
- Good communication skills
- Full NZ driver licence (Class 2)
- Flexible with hours, including some weekend work if needed

- Pay based on experience but will range from $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
