Assistant Buyer

**ASSISTANT BUYER**

We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to help our store continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

**The Role;**
- Plan and purchase stock via the DC and from direct suppliers
- Plan and execute promotional activities
- Meet with supplier reps and merchandisers
- Identifying and pricing new products
- Undertake relays to align with brand and category strategies

**What are we looking for;**
- A passion for all things retail
- An ability to build strong workplace relationships with reps, merchandisers, managers and team members
- Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
- Previous experience in large format retail businesses (FMCG) at management/team leader level with the ability to lead by example and work under pressure
- Adaptability and flexibility to keep up with the fast paced environment
- SAP knowledge or a willingness to develop this area of knowledge, competent use of MS Office programs
- Hours of work will be discussed at the interview stage
