About the Role
The Community Corrections Hub in Palmerston North has multiple positions for Registered Psychologists to join our team. The role involves providing psychological services in the prison context, specifically in the Manawatu and Whanganui male prisons, as well as in Community Corrections. The team works with high-risk individuals, conducting assessments and interventions to address reoffending. Collaboration with colleagues and community members is crucial, including support for family meetings. The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training and support, with opportunities for court and parole board involvement. The team emphasises work-life balance and well-being, providing ongoing supervision and professional development opportunities.
We are looking for psychologists who are seeking a reliable and skilled individual with strong communication abilities to join our team. Desired qualifications include experience in risk assessment, strong therapy skills with knowledge of trauma, cultural responsiveness, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. Familiarity with Te Ao Māori/Tikanga Māori and bi-cultural practice is important. Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical or Forensic Psychology) and registration with the New Zealand Psychologists' Board.

Relocation Package
The Department shall reimburse the Employee for payment of relocation costs upon production receipts for the cost of travel to New Zealand and various expenses associated with the removal of personal effects as follows:

- Freight Forward: Assistance for the relocation of personal effects from your home to the Auckland, New Zealand to a maximum value of NZD$10,000 including GST)
- Airfares: A one-way economy travel fare from your origin to New Zealand for yourself, your partner, and children under the age of 19 who live with you and are travelling with you on the same flight(s). This includes one night's accommodation enroute if travel requires transit in another country and one flight is longer than 12 hours duration
- Airport Transfer: Airport transfer from arrival airport to your accommodation up to a maximum value of NZD$300
- Accommodation: Up to 4 weeks accommodation upon arrival in New Zealand
- Rental Vehicle: Up to 4 weeks use of a rental vehicle to a maximum value of NZD$5,000 if required. Please note fuel costs are not included

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for the role is $76,860 - $104,571 (Mid) - $125,485. We may also offer flexible and/or part-time options for working hours. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
