Healthcare Assistant, Surgical Ward 8, North Shore

Health Care AssistantWard 8, North Shore HospitalPermanent, Full or Part-time position available Ward 8 is a 32-bed surgical, general surgery specialising in Colorectal, Breast, Endocrine and Melanoma surgery, and we are looking for a Health Care Assistants to join our team of committed professionals. Making use of the collaborative model of care, you will be working closely with our Registered Nurses to provide excellent care to our patients. Whilst a Healthcare Assistant role generally requires someone who can work 24/7 rostered shifts, there may be the option to work the following:
- Predominantly Nights - Part Time - working Friday / Saturday / Sunday (flexibility will be required for PDR purposes)
- Predominantly Day/Afternoons - Full and Part Time - working across Monday - Sunday. Will need to be able to do some night shifts to cover annual leave.

**Our requirements for our ward are**:
- A strong command of English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Assisting registered nurses by keeping the ward clean and tidy
- Directing enquiries
- Making beds, ordering and handing out meals and provision of personal care.
- Good command of the English language
- Knowledge and understanding of the health care system
